Open Streets
Revuelta Escolar is a temporary open streets event that reclaims the space around a school, closing it to cars and opening it to play, movement, and community life. For a few hours, the street becomes a shared space where children, families, and neighbors can gather, explore, and reimagine what their everyday environment could look like.
In partnership with AFA Rufino Blanco, I led the expansion of this initiative from 2 to 6 events over the course of the year, deepening its impact and reach within the school community. Each edition incorporated programming rooted in community engagement, going beyond the physical transformation of the street to create meaningful experiences for participants of all ages. Activities included a bicibús, bike paths, storytelling, active games, arts and crafts, music, christmas carols, choreographies, life-size board games, and much more.
From securing permits and managing timelines to coordinating the team and overseeing activities, I was responsible for the full implementation of each event.
